Volunteer / Fundraising Opportunity
The organizers of the USA Cycling’s Masters and JUNIOR National Championships being held in Columbus, WI later this month are in great need of volunteers to make these races happen. They are extending an offer of up to $500 to WI NICA teams that volunteer and fill enough slots!
The races are taking place in the Columbus area on June 29 at Wisconsin Academy and June 30 and July 1 at Englewood Grass Farm in Fall River. These races are the national championships for Juniors (ages 11-16) and Masters (40+) athletes. Athletes are going to be traveling to Wisconsin from across the country to compete for the coveted Stars and Stripes jersey. We are trying to recruit volunteers, for two main roles, parking attendants and course marshals.
· Parking Attendant: Assist those who are attending the event in certain parking lots designated for spectators, volunteers, and employees
· Course Marshal: Cheer on racers while keeping the race course safe and clear! Course Marshals are stationed along the course at intersections and turns working with public safety to direct traffic and alert participants to turns or hazards.
· Bike Support: Adults required to be on bike, ride in support of the younger groups of Junior riders that become disconnected from their group. Will ride with the Juniors to help ensure course safety.
One of the event sponsors, Kwik Trip has generously contributed to help support our volunteers. We will draw two names of volunteers each day to each receive a $100 Kwik Trip gift card. Each shift a volunteer works will give them an entry to the drawing. If you have questions, please contact Ryan Schmeling at schmeling.ryan@gmail.com

Keep working on those miles!
Every ride you log is a step toward building strength, endurance, and confidence for the season ahead. Whether it’s a quick ride or a long grind, it all counts—so get out there!
Still looking for help this season
As we gear up for the season, we still have a few key roles to fill—and we can’t do it without our amazing parent volunteers!
Open Positions:
- Coaches (always looking for more leaders to step up!)
- Camp Coordinator
- Club Photos Coordinator
These roles are crucial to our success—on and off the field. It takes a full team effort to create a great experience for our athletes, and this is your chance to be part of it!
If you’re ready to step up and make an impact this season, let us know. Let’s build something great together.
Not sure about sizing? No worries—reach out and we’ll help you find the perfect fit!
